Hosted by the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights, in collaboration with Canada Confesses, the University of Ottawa Human Rights Research and Education Centre, and other national partners, the two-day Youth Digital Rights Summit will bring together youth leaders from across Canada to engage in powerful, youth-led advocacy on digital rights, online safety, and anti-racism.


The Summit will include:

  • An Advocacy Lab and Digital Rights Blueprint co-creation

  • Roundtables with legal, tech, and trauma-informed experts

  • Policy meetings on Parliament Hill

  • A youth-led press conference

  • Storytelling, art, and creative resistance workshops

  • The Youth Digital Rights Summit will take place on February 18 & 29, 2026 in the city of Ottawa and on the University of Ottawa campus.

  • Unfortunately, this summit can only host those who are 16 years of age or older, up to 29.

  • No, participation is without cost.

  • Yes, if you attend in-person, you are responsible for arranging and funding your travel and accommodation.
