VOLUNTEER WITH US!

Volunteers are a critical part of our work.

We believe creating respectful relationships, cooperation and collaboration with our volunteer network are important in advancing a culture of peace and human rights. Every person has a part to play in community building, thus, all experiences are welcomed to support the efforts of the centre. The John Humphrey Centre currently counts over a 100 volunteers throughout the province of Alberta supporting various initiatives that aim to protect and promote human rights. Communities' needs and demands, as well as volunteers’ initiatives drive the organization's efforts and programming. Thus, in the current situation, volunteer engagement and numbers are still growing.

There are various ways to volunteer with us. If you are interested in volunteering with JHC, you may be engaged through opportunities such as (but not limited to):

  • Stride community advocacy

  • Participating in online committees

  • Assisting with research tasks

  • Fundraising

  • Office administration

Volunteer recruitment is generally ongoing and on a part time basis. Please find information about our active postings on our volunteer connect page.
