Civil Society Mobilization: Translating Global Commitments to Domestic Action

  • Seven Oaks Hotel 777 Albert Street Regina, SK S4R 2P6 Canada (map)

Join the John Humphrey Centre’s Stride Advocacy Project for a two-day, open, and hybrid gathering designed to mobilize civil society at a critical moment for human rights in Canada.

This participatory convening will bring together community leaders, advocates, organizations, and allies to connect across regions and issues, deepen understanding of Canada’s international human rights review process, and work collaboratively to develop advocacy strategies grounded in lived realities.

Participants will learn how the review process works in practical terms, surface priority issues affecting communities, and contribute to strengthening collective advocacy strategies at local, provincial, and national levels.

Attendance is free and open to all. The event will be hybrid, both in person and online. Lunch will be provided each day. While travel support is not available, contributions are welcome to help sustain this shared work.

Come ready to learn, collaborate, and turn human rights commitments into action.

Thank you to the Canadian Race Relations Foundation and the McConnell Foundation for their support.
