Human Rights & Freedoms: Dignity, Autonomy & Equity, a Trauma-Informed Perspective Workshop Series

A series of 4 workshops and an additional ad hoc session designed to assist, identify, and overcome many of the complex barriers when filing a Human Rights Claim. The workshops will promote equitable access to those most disproportionately represented; through inclusive representation, empowerment to participate, trauma informed practices, and cultural awareness. The half day interactive sessions are intended to promote a tangible, actionable and safe process for identifying and filing human rights related complaints.

Workshop 4: Can’t Pour from An Empty Cup

This session focuses on how to debrief, document, and learn from each incident, while identifying actionable steps and barriers. It emphasizes personal and collective safety, recognizing and addressing lateral violence, and managing crisis-related risks. Through group discussion, mixed media, and movement, participants will gain tools for collaboration, safety planning, and maintaining balance.

Other workshop dates: June 4, June 25, July 2
