Connecting for Change: An Evening for Equity and Justice in Regina
In May 2026, Regina will welcome the Forum of Ministers on Human Rights, an important gathering of leaders shaping the future of human rights policy in Canada. Alongside these high-level discussions, the John Humphrey Centre and its partners are creating a complementary space grounded in community, connection, and shared purpose.
Connecting for Change: An Evening for Equity and Justice is designed to bring together grassroots leaders, civil society organizations, and government representatives in a setting where everyone meets as equals. This event centres on the belief that meaningful change happens through relationships—and that dismantling systemic racism requires building networks of trust and collaboration as strong as the systems we aim to transform.
Guests are invited to take part in an evening of thoughtful dialogue and community-building, including a panel discussion featuring local and national voices working on the front lines of anti-racism and social justice, and a complimentary buffet dinner, offering space to connect, reflect, and continue the conversation in an informal setting.
This evening will take place in connection with the hybrid gathering Putting Human Rights into Action–Mobilizing Civil Society: From Global Commitments to Domestic Action, to take place May 21 and 22, 2026.
