A series of 4 workshops and an additional ad hoc session designed to assist, identify, and overcome many of the complex barriers when filing a Human Rights Claim. The workshops will promote equitable access to those most disproportionately represented; through inclusive representation, empowerment to participate, trauma informed practices, and cultural awareness. The half day interactive sessions are intended to promote a tangible, actionable and safe process for identifying and filing human rights related complaints.
Workshop 2: For the people, by the people with the people
This workshop centres on trauma-informed practices and the ABCs of observation and reporting. It prioritizes inclusive participation from marginalized communities to ensure autonomy in collaborative processes. Through mixed media, group work, and role play, participants will co-create a reporting tool and gain skills in trauma-informed communication, inclusive engagement, and effective documentation.
