Justice4Reel 2018 - Call for Submissions

Be part of the Justice4Reel Creative Lab that will take place December 6-8, 2018 in Edmonton, Alberta. This three day event will bring together a team of 12 emerging filmmakers to learn, collaborate and create media for social change, focusing on themes of justice, dignity and human rights. We want you to build your confidence and sharpen your skills in communication, cooperation and filmmaking.

Over the course of the Creative Lab, participants will learn about the ethics of storytelling, be exposed to various film making approaches and collaborate with peers and professionals while have the chance to pull apart, refine and expand upon their project idea with guidance from mentors and industry.

Join our team of change makers, established filmmakers and community artists interested in the intersection of filmmaking and human rights education.

 

To apply:

  • Pitch your idea, issue or narrative to explore through film (500-1500 words), and email it to maigan@jhcentre.org before September 24, 2018.

 

Participate and have the opportunity to share ideas with innovative storytellers  and filmmakers from across Canada!
