The Youth Action Project is an Edmonton-based leadership program for youth between the ages of 16-26. YAP Leaders are taken on a study tour to explore and debate the critical human rights issues in Edmonton, visiting different social justice organizations around the city. The YAP Leaders also gain first-hand experience with one of these partner organizations, learning directly how human rights play a role in Edmonton and explore how we can affect change.
The first phase of this program is approximately 3 months long and the second phase, the volunteer placement, is 35 hours.
Phase I – Exploring Community Issues – Tuesdays at 6-8pm
Phase II – Volunteer Placement – Flexible dates and times
The 2012 program is currently underway. Please sign up for our newsletter to receive information on the next session.
