The Youth Action Project is an Edmonton-based leadership program for youth between the ages of 16-26. YAP Leaders are taken on a study tour to explore and debate the critical human rights issues in Edmonton, visiting different social justice organizations around the city. The YAP Leaders also gain first-hand experience with one of these partner organizations, learning directly how human rights play a role in Edmonton and explore how we can affect change.
This program usually runs for seven months, including the volunteer placement that takes place after the study tour ends. The current session for 2010 is underway; watch this space for updates on YAP 2011.
