This dynamic ten-week introductory program gives participants an overview of human rights issues and facilitation skills to create and lead dialogues in their communities.
Commencing once a week on a Friday afternoon, the participants of this Training Program gain hands-on experience in preparing and leading a facilitated discussions centered around specific human rights issues. Participants are required to complete four dialogue sessions (two formal, two informal) in order to complete the Program and obtain their certificate.
While the Training Program is not accredited, it remains a useful tool for any human rights activist. Past participants have found various ways to implement the techniques learned in their professional and personal lives.
No experience is necessary for this program and it typically runs from January to April. Participants have ranged from working professionals in various levels of government, public and private sector to university-age students and community volunteers.
