Circle Alberta 2010: From Action to Change

Ovide Mercredi speaks to delegates in 2008 on the value of dialogue and building relationships

The second Circle Alberta Gathering took place at the beautiful Sawridge Inn South in Edmonton from October 21-23, 2010.  The Circle Alberta Project aimed to advance relations between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Peoples and work to build collaborative solutions to promote the rights of Indigenous People.

The Circle Alberta Gathering in 2008 was just a starting point for building relationships. Stakeholders from around the province need to continue come together to share experiences, successes and challenges, both at the provincial as well as at the community level.  Circle Alberta in 2010 will continue the provincial level dialogue and move towards increased understanding and collaboration between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal allies in Alberta, at both a community and provincial level.
