Human Rights Facilitator Training

This dynamic 26 hour introductory program gives participants an overview of human rights issues and facilitation skills to create and lead dialogues in their communities.

Meeting for 4 full days, the participants of this Training Program gain hands-on experience in preparing and leading facilitated discussions centered around specific human rights issues.  Participants who complete the 4 day training are eligible for a certificate and are encouraged to facilitate human rights dialogues in their community.

This program is on it’s 6th year and has proven to be a useful tool for many human rights advocates in our community. Past participants have found various ways to implement the techniques learned in their professional and personal lives.

No experience is necessary for this program.  Participants have ranged from working professionals in various levels of government, public and private sector to university-age students and community volunteers.

The next session will take place over two weekends on March 3 & 4 and March 17 & 18 (all 4 sessions are part of the same program) at the University of Alberta. To register, please click here  or email carrie@jhcentre.org for more information.
