Human Rights 101 is a full day certificate program. Upon completion, participants in this introductory course will be able to answer the following questions:
- What are Human Rights?
- How does Human Rights relate to my community?
- Why are Human Rights important?
- What is the Universal Declaration of Human Rights?
- What are the U.N. Treaty Bodies?
- How does the Universal Declaration relate to the local news?
This course uses dialogue and an active, hands-on approach in order to explore connections between the Universal Declaration and the values of family and community. Participants will gain an understanding of how human rights are applicable to their lives and those around them.
